A pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of rheumatic osteoarticular conditions and of collager diseases comprises as active principle an admixture of acetylsalicylic acid with the unsaponifiable matter of at least one vegetable oil, e.g. maize, palm, rapeseed, soybean and/or avocado oils. The acetylsalicyclic acid may comprise the major part by weight of the admixture. The unsaponifiable matter of maize oil consists of a mixture of non-hormonal cyclopentanophenanthrenic derivatives such as α, # and γsitosterols and stigmasterol. The compositions may be administered orally or rectally in the form of coated tablets or suppositories respectively containing conventional vehicles and excipients. |
