titleOfInvention C-Alkylated-N,N'-Disubstituted Diazacycloalkanes and Pharmacologically Acceptable Acid Addition Salts thereof
abstract 1,184,408. N,N-disubstituted diazacycloalkanes. ASTA-WERKE A.G. CHEMISCHE FABRIK. 21 Nov., 1968 [6 Dec., 1967], No. 55228/68. Heading C2C. Novel compounds II in which R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are H or C 1-4 alkyl, at least one being alkyl; m is 0 or 1 and n is 2 or 3 and their pharmacologically acceptable salts are prepared by reacting (a) a 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoic acid halogenoalkyl ester with the appropriate diazacycloalkane; (b) a 3,4,5-trimethoxy-benzoic acid halide, ester or anhydride with the appropriate N,N<SP>1</SP>-bis-(hy. droxyalkyl) - diazacycloalkane; or (c) a 3,4,5- trimethoxy-benzoic acid salt with the appropriate N,N<SP>1</SP> - bis - (haloalkyl) - diazacycloalkane, followed where necessary by salt formation or liberation of the free base from a salt. Pharmaceutical compositions comprise a compound II in admixture with a suitable excipient for enteral or parenteral administration and possess coronodilatory activity.
