A liquid electro-photographic developer comprises an insulating liquid e.g. a hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon halide and a finely divided solid dispersed therein comprising a substance which forms free radicals on heating e.g. dichlorobenzoyl peroxide, succinyl peroxide, azoisobutyronitrile, tetraphenyl hydrazine, dehydrolophine, diazidostilbene and sodium trichloroacetate. The composition may also comprise linseed oil or naphthenates and a dye and is used in the process of forming printing formes of Specification 1,182,174.
