Novel salts of amines of general formula wherein n is 2-9 and each of R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 is C 1-6 alkyl or H with an oxo-2-bornanesulphonic-10, an oxo-2-bornanecarboxylic-3, citric, guacylacetic or benzensulphonic acid are prepared by adding an aqueous or methanolic solution of the acid to an aqueous or methanolic solution of the diamine. Pharmaceutical compositions in conventional forms for topical oral or rectal administration and having virustatic or virulytic activity comprise an above salt and a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent or carrier.
