[Also in Division C4] A pressurised composition which upon release of pressure forms a foam which exhibits a crackling sound when subjected to shear comprises from 75% to 95% by weight of a chlorofluorocarbon propellant system having a vapour pressure of from 10 to 30 p.s.i.g. at 70‹F, the propellant being emulsified as the dispersed phase in an aqueous continuous phase in the presence of a water-dispersible emulsifier in an amount sufficient to yield a stable emulsion. Various propellants and emulsifiers are specified and examples are given of pre-shave and after-shave lotions, colognes, a cleansing cream and an astringent composition. |
