The concave base of a disposable pressurized liquefied gas, e.g. butane, storage cylinder comprises a thin inner plate 2, Fig. 3, having its edge 3 rolled over the rim of the cylinder wall and an outer reinforcing plate 4 lying against the inner plate 2 and having its edge 5 rolled over the rolled joint formed by the edge of the inner base-plate 2. In a modification the outer plate 4, Fig. 4, is annular and in the event of an undue pressure rise the inner plate is bulged outwardly to the position 2a and thereby indicates the pressure rise. In a further modification the central position of the reinforcing plate is made thinner than the remaining position and is bulged outwardly with the central position of the inner plate in the event of an undue pressure rise with the cylinder. |
