Heading C2C. n - Butyl - 2<SP>1</SP>,6<SP>1</SP> - pipecoloxylidide is prepared by reducing with formic acid 1-(2-butenyl)-2,6<SP>1</SP>. pipecoloxylidide, resulting from the reaction of nbutyraldehyde with 2<SP>1</SP>,61 - pipecoloxylidide, obtained by the hydrogenation of 2<SP>1</SP>,61.pico. linoxylidide. Pharmaceutical preparations with local anaesthetic activity contain the title compound as the active ingredient and pharmaceutically-acceptable carriers or diluents. |
