[Also in Division C2] Compounds of formula wherein R represents (i) a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, X represents a halogen atom, n is an integer from 2 to 6 inclusive; and A represents a substituted or unsubstituted nitrophenyl radical, substituted in para position relative to the radical by a radical of the formula NR<SP>1</SP>R<SP>11</SP> wherein R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>11</SP> represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, may be used as hair dyes. They are members of a group of compounds which are used as intermediates in the preparation of nitro dyes (see Division C2). |
