[Also in Division C3] A granular solid propellant, e.g. having the shape of a torroid, is inhibited by application of a composition comprising 80-90% by wt. of hydroxy terminated poly-butadiene, 2- 10% organic diisocyanate, e.g. hexamethylene or toluene diisocyanate, 1-15% of silica, carbon black or asbestos and at least 0À04% of ferric oxide, lead stannate, red lead or ferric acetyl acetonate. In the example the propellants used were of the double-base type and some contained aluminium metal and ammonium perchlorate. |
