abstract | 1,153,851. Laminates. VENESTA MFG. Ltd. 11 Jan., 1967 [11 Jan., 1966], No. 1223/66. Heading B5N. A building panel comprises a rigid inner layer of wood wool cement slab sandwiched between outer sheets of asbestos wool board, the sheets having been bonded to the inner layer by means of an adhesive applied over the contacting surfaces in such distributed patterns, e.g. stripes, that while overall coherence of the panel is maintained the area covered by adhesive is substantially less than the total common area of the facing surfaces, the adhesive penetrating the interstices of the inner layer to a depth sufficient to produce an effective adhesive bond. Preferably the adhesive is urea-formaldehyde or resorcinol -formaldehyde d the laminate is formed by pressure. |
