titleOfInvention | Process for the preparation of New Therapeutically Active Basic Ethers |
abstract | 1,153,071. Basic ethers. EGYESULT GYOGYSZER ES TAPSZERGYAR. 9 Aug., 1966 [12 Aug., 1965], No. 35681/66. Heading C2C. Novel compounds I of Formula I, in which R is C 4-15 alkyl, C 4-7 cycloalkyl or C 4-7 cycloalkyl- C 1-3 alkyl, A is C 1-4 alkylene, Z is di(C 1-3 alkyl)- amino and n is 2 to 8, and acid addition salts and quaternary ammonium derivatives thereof, are prepared by (a) reacting a compound II of Formula II, or a metal derivative thereof, with a compound of formula Hal-A-Y, in which Hal is halogen and Y is hydroxy or halogen or has the same meaning as Z, or (b) reacting a reactive ester of a compound II with a compound of formula HO-A-Y, if necessary, converting the atom or group Y in the product obtained into the desired group Z by known methods and, if desired converting a compound I into an acid addition salt or quaternary ammonium derivative.
