abstract 1,148,984. Unsaturated ether-alcohols. BP CHEMICALS (U.K.) Ltd. 28 June, 1967 [6 Aug., 1966], No. 35304/66. Heading C2C. [Also in Divisions B2 and C3] Etherified addition products are made by reacting under etherification conditions an alkylene oxide and an aliphatic alcohol containing at least one #,γ-ethylenically unsaturated aliphatic group adjacent to an hydroxyl group or an ether oxygen atom in a molar proportion of oxide to alcohol in the range 1 : 1 to 5 : 1. In the examples propylene oxide is reacted with allyl alcohol or trimethylol propane diallyl ether in the presence of a boron trifluoride/ acetic complex.
