titleOfInvention Alkyl-substituted ethylenethiourammonosulphides
abstract 1,137,468. Alkyl-substituted tetrahydro- 1,3,6 - thiadiazepin - 2,7 - dithiones. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 26 Sept., 1967 [5 Oct., 1966], No. 43789/67. Heading C2C. [Also in Division A5] Novel acaricidally active alkyl-substituted tetrahydro - 1,3,6 - thiadiazepin - 2,7 - dithiones of the formula in which R is C i - s alkyl, and R 1 and R 2 each are hydrogen or C 1-3 alkyl are prepared by introducing air or oxygen into an aqueous solution of the corresponding ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate of the formula wherein Me is a univalent metal while maintaining the pH at between 7 and 9À5 by the addition of acid. Metal salts which contain as cation metals which occur in different valency states, e.g. nickel, manganese or iron, may be used as catalysts. 1-Pentylethylenediamine is made by reacting 1,2-dibromoheptane with ammonia at a pressure of 5 atmospheres and at a temperature between 70‹ to 80‹ C.
