abstract Novel molecular compounds composed of O,O-dimethyl-N-methylcarbamoylmethyl dithiophosphate and an alkyl phenol of formula <FORM:1123455/C2/1> wherein R is a C3-C4 branched alkyl radical and R1 is methyl or methoxy radical are prepared by mixing the phosphate and phenol. The reaction may be carried out at elevated temperature or in a solvent.ALSO:Pesticidal or disinfectant compositions comprise as active ingredient a molecular compound of O,O-dimethyl-N-methylcarbamoyl methyl dithiophosphate and an alkyl phenol of the formula:- <FORM:1123455/A5-A6/1> wherein R is a C3-C4 branched alkyl radical and R1 is methyl or methoxy and an inert carrier. The compositions may be in the form of dusts, wettable powders, granules, emulsions or oil preparations and may be mixed with known insecticides, nematocides, fungicides, herbicides and fertilisers.
