titleOfInvention Controlled sudsing compositions
abstract A controlled sudsing detergent composition comprises (a) 1-24% non-ionic detergent, (b) 0.5-21% water soluble organic phosphate or phosphonate and (c) 1-21% anionic detergent by weight of the total composition. The preferred non-ionic compound is a condensate of tallow alcohol with 9 molecules of ethylene oxide, the phosphatic compound may be oleyl, lauryl and stearyl phosphate, and the anionic compound may be an alkyl sulphate, a linear alkylate sulphonate, an alkyl aryl sulphonate preferably wherein the alkyl has 8-22 carbon atoms, an alkyl glyceryl ether sulphonate, an alkene or alkane sulphonate and specifically sodium dodecyl benzene sulphonate. Sodium tripolyphosphate or organic sequestrants such as nitriloacetic acid, EDTA 20-50%, sodium sulphate, and sodium silicate, colouring agents may also be added.
