titleOfInvention Improvements relating to packaging
abstract Non-dusting desiccants are encapsulated in a bag of a microporous thermoplastic sheet material reinforced by a mesh comprising synthetic textile fibres. The microporous thermoplastic may be a polystyrene but is preferably a polyurethane, while the mesh may be of polyester, acrylonitrile polymer or a -olefin polymer but most desirably consists of a polyamide; the desiccant is suitably silica gel. The desiccant is encapsulated by forming a heap thereof on a first sheet of reinforced microporous thermoplastic, and then covering it with a second sheet which is then sealed to the first by heat or other bonding round the edges.
