titleOfInvention New dioxazine dyestuffs and processes for their manufacture
abstract The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:1114012/C4-C5/1> where A is an ortho-arylene residue, R1 is a heterocyclic residue and R2 is a heterocyclic or aryl residue. The compounds are prepared by heating a compound of the formula <FORM:1114012/C4-C5/2> where A1 is an aryl residue, in an inert solvent. In a modification one mole of a compound of the formula <FORM:1114012/C4-C5/3> is condensed with two moles of an arylamine and the subsequent ring-closure is carried out without isolation of the intermediate.ALSO:2,5 - Dinicotinoylamino - 3,6 - di - (21,51-diethox - 41 - benzoylaminophenylamino)-1,4-benzoquinone is prepared by condensing 2,5-dinicotinoylamino- 3,6 - dichloro - 1,4 - benzoquinone with 1-amino-4-benzoylamino-2,5-diethoxybenzene in isopropanol in the presence of sodium acetate.
