titleOfInvention Improvements in or relating to electric switches
abstract 1,102,341. Retractive switches. V. & EFRIEDLAND Ltd., and J. DOGGART. 12 Aug., 1964 [18 June, 1963], No. 24266/63. Heading HlN. The housing 11 of a push-button switch is moulded from transparent resilient material (for example, cellulose acetate butyrate) with integral tangential wing-like extensions 17 which are deformed into recesses (23, Fig. 4, not shown) when the switch is inserted into a hole in a supporting panel and then their edges 21 hold the switch in place. A U-shaped bridging contact 113 has claws (26, Fig. 2, not shown) which secure it inside the button 12 and shoulders (29) near the free ends of this contact retain this assembly in the housing 11. A first embodiment has longer fixed contacts shaped to accommodate a lamp (16, Figs. 1 and 2, not shown) and the housing is extended by a second part (14) attached to the part 11 by the screws securing the fixed contacts.
