abstract | Novel compounds of the general formula <FORM:1098759/C2/1> (wherein R represents Br, Cl or I and R1 an alkyl or aralkyl group) are prepared by treating a correspondingly 3-substituted 5-nitro-5-hydroxymethyltetrahydro - 1,3 - oxazine with NaOMe (whereby the 5-hydroxymethyl group is replaced by Na), and halogenating the resulting 3 - substituted 5 - nitro - 5 - sodio - tetrahydro-1,3-oxazine with Cl2, Br2 or ICl in an anhydrous organic medium at 0-20 DEG C. |
