titleOfInvention Unsaturated steroid compounds and processes for their preparation
abstract Novel steroids having the formula <FORM:1094806/C2/1> wherein R and R1 each represent an alkyl radical containing 1-4 carbon atoms, are obtained by reacting a 13b ,17a -dialkyl-4,5-seco-18,19 - dinor - pregna - 9,11 - diene - 3,5,20 - trione of the general formula <FORM:1094806/C2/2> wherein R and R1 are as defined above, with a dehydrating agent, e.g. sodium t-amylate. Pharmaceutical compositions having progestomimetic, progestative, anti-androgenic and anti-estrogenic activities and containing the above compounds are administered orally, by injection or rectally.
