titleOfInvention | A method of applying road and pavement markings |
abstract | A composition for use in particulate form for road and like marking comprises (a) a solid organic polymeric resinous material having a melting point between 150 DEG and 300 DEG F. and a melt viscosity less than 3000 centipoises at 300 DEG F., and (b) a solid organic crystalline material with a similar melting point and a viscosity of less than 200 centipoises at 300 DEG F. Materials which may be used are (a) polyamides and formaldehyde-cyclohexanone resin and (b) chlorinated naphthalene. The polyamide is a blend of ortho- and para-N-ethyl-toluenesulfonamide plasticized dimerized fatty acid ethylene diamine polyamide and a similar straight polyamide. The composition may contain various pigments and glass beads. Particle size ranges for the ingredients are given. |
