abstract | A medium for immunoserological tests, e.g. blood type tests, comprises an aqueous solution of a polysucrose free from ionizable groups and with a molecular weight of 2,000-2,000,000 buffered to a pH of 7-8 and having an ionic strength of 0.05-0.18g. ions per 1 depending on the intended use, a zeta potential of below - 23 mv. to below -8 mv. and a dielectric constant of 170-190 or higher is preferred. The Examples relate to formulations comprising a HCl/NaCl buffer and imidazole, and in Ex. III the dielectric constant is 778. |
