titleOfInvention Improvements in and relating to therapeutic compositions containing 2-amino-oxazolin-4-one derivatives, novel derivatives of this type and process for preparing same
abstract The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:1085922/C2/1> wherein R represents an alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group, A represents a piperidino, pyrrolidino, morpholino or piperazino ring, each of these rings possibly being substituted by one or two C1- 6 alkyl groups on nuclear carbon atoms and R1, when A is a piperazino ring, is attached to the second nitrogen atom of said ring and is a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, acyl, aryl, alkaryl or aralkyl group, with the proviso that when R is the phenyl group, A-R1 is not a piperidino, N-methyl piperazino or morpholino group; acid-addition salts thereof; and their preparation by reacting a 5-substituted-2-amino-oxazolin-4-one of the formula <FORM:1085922/C2/2> with a heterocyclic base of the formula <FORM:1085922/C2/3> 2 - Amino - oxazolin - 4 - ones of the Formula II, in which R is an alkyl group having 4 or more carbon atoms, are prepared by reacting a compound of the formula R.CH(OH).COOR2, wherein R is an alkyl group having 4 or more carbon atoms and R2 is a C1- 6 alkyl group, with guanidine.ALSO:Pharmaceutical compositions having anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretic and analgesic properties, for oral, rectal or parenteral administration, comprise a compound of the formula: <FORM:1085922/A5-A6/1> wherein R represents an alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group, A represents a piperidino, pyrrolidino, morpholino or piperazino ring, these rings possibly being substituted by one or two C1-6 alkyl groups or nuclear carbon atoms and R1, when A is a piperazino ring, is attached to the second nitrogen atom and is a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, acyl, aryl, alkaryl or aralkyl group.
