abstract | The novel lactic and a -hydroxyisobutyric acid esters of 3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexanol are prepared either by esterification of the above alcohol with the appropriate acid or derivative thereof, e.g. cyanide or ester or by reaction of a salt of the acid and a 3,3,5-trimethylhalohexane. Pharmaceutical compositions in conventional form for oral or parenteral administration comprise an above novel ester and one or more pharmacologically acceptable diluents or excipients. |
