abstract Anthelmintic compositions for veterinary use comprise an animal feedstuff or drinking water and one or more of cobalt arsenate, cobalt phenylarsonate, and cobalt substituted-phenyl arsonate, wherein the substituents are halogen, methyl, amino, phenyl, p chlorophenyl, nitro, hydroxy or ureido groups. Specified substituted agents are cobalt 2,4-dimethylphenyl, 4-methylphenyl, 2-chlorophenyl, 3,5-dichlorophenyl, 4-iodophenyl, 3,5-dibromophenyl, 4-nitrophenyl, 3-nitro-4-hydroxyphenyl, and 3-chloro-4-aminophenyl arsenates. The feedstuff compositions may include vitamins such as A, D, E, riboflavin, niacin, calcium pantothenate, and B complex. The compositions are for oral administration to control or cure roundworm infestation.
