abstract 1,078,074. Photographic film. UNION CARBIDE CORPORATION. Aug. 26, 1964, No. 35051/64. Heading G2C. A dimensionally stable and curl-free photosensitive film comprises a film support of a poly (hydroxyether) having a reduced viscosity of from 0À3 to 1À2 measured as a 0.2 gm. sample in 100 ml. of T. H. F. at 25‹C. and a photo-sensitive coating adhered thereto either directly or through a subbing gelatine layer. The poly (hydroxyether) contains the recurring unit: - wherein E is the residue of a dihydric polynuclear phenol and R and R<SP>1</SP> are H or methyl. Many residues E are specified. The photo-sensitive coating may be a gelatino silver halide emulsion, a silver nitrate, ferric ammonium citrate and tartaric acid layer, a dichromate layer, a diazonium salt layer or a ferric platinum or palladium salt layer for the blue print and other processes.
