titleOfInvention | Photographic materials for the silver dyestuff bleaching process |
abstract | The invention relates to disazo dyestuffs of the general formula <FORM:1077628/C4-C5/1> in which X and X1 each represents a hydrogen atom or a sulphonic acid group, Y and Y1 each represents an amino group, of which at least one is a secondary or tertiary amino group, R1 and R11 each represents a divalent cyclic radical containing at least one benzene ring to which the azo group is attached and A represents the residue of the diamide of a carbon-containing acid which is at least dibasic, which residue is bound to R, and R1, through the nitrogen atoms of the amide groups. The dyestuffs are obtained by condensing an appropriate amino-azo dyestuff, with a dihalide of dibasic carbon containing acid. A number of dyes are specified in which the amino-azo dyestuff portion is linked by benzene-1,3 and 1,4-dicarboxylic acid dichloride, thiophene-2,5-dicarboxylic acid dichloride, phosgene, furan-2,5-dicarboxylicacid dichloride, dichlorocyanuric acid and the dichloride of the acid obtained by reacting 1 molecule of phosgene with 2 molecules of p-amino-benzoic acid. |
