titleOfInvention | Polyarylaminopolyethers |
abstract | Aromatic polyaminopolyhydroxy compounds are obtained by reacting a cyclic organic oxide with the reaction product of an aromatic amine and an aldehyde or ketone. The preferred reactants are aniline, formaldehyde and propylene oxide. Other suitable compounds are: amines:- o-, m- and p-chloroanilines, toluidines, anisidines, and phenetidines, simple and halogenated a - and b -naphthylamines and various xylidines; aldehydes:- paraformaldehyde, acetaldehyde, propionaldehyde, butyraldehyde, heptaldehyde, nonaldehyde, benzaldehyde, chlorobenzaldehyde and bromobenzaldehyde; organic oxides:- ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, trimethylene oxide, tetramethylene oxide, pentamethylene oxide, octylene oxide, cyclohexene oxide, styrene oxide and butadiene-1,2-oxide. Acetone is a specified ketone.ALSO:A polyarylpolyaminopolyether is obtained by reacting a cyclic organic oxide with the reaction product of an aromatic amine and an aldehyde.
