titleOfInvention Improvements relating to fuels for supersonic jet aircraft
abstract Fuels for supersonic jet aircraft comprise a saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon composition boiling in the range 204-288 DEG C. and having a freezing point of less than -50 DEG C. and a flash point greater than 60 DEG C., and prepared by oligomerizing one or more C2 to C6 olefines to give polymers having carbon numbers in the range C12 to C18 and fully hydrogenating the product. The monomers may be propylene, n-butylene, iso-butylene or short chain olefine mixtures derived from cracking of petroleum.
