titleOfInvention | Manufacture and Production of New Halogenated Arsinic Acids. |
abstract | 106,279. Farbenfabriken vorm. F. Bayer & Co. Feb. 8, 1915, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Halogenarsinic acids are obtained by first treating acetylene hydrocarbons with arsenic tri. halides, or mixtures yielding such trihalides, such as a mixture of arsenious acid and thionyl chloride, and then treating the resulting halogenarsinic halides, or the halogenarsenoxides produced by the action of water thereon, with oxidizing-agents. According to examples, heptine (n-pentylacetylene) is treated with arsenic trichloride, the product is converted into heptinechlorarsenoxide, and the latter oxidized by hydrogen peroxide to heptinechlorarsinic acid. The salts of the halogenarsinic acids can be used for subcutaneous injections. Specifications 18732/12, 10378/13, and 10379/13 are referred to. |
