abstract | The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:1058193/C2/1> and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, wherein R1 is lower alkyl containing 1-4 carbon atoms or aralkyl, R2 is lower alkyl containing 1-4 carbon atoms and n is 2, 3 or 4, and the preparation thereof by reacting an alkali metal salt of a gammacarboline represented by the general formula <FORM:1058193/C2/2> with a reactive halogen compound of the general formula <FORM:1058193/C2/3> wherein X is halogen and, if desired, converting the resulting compound into a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof by treatment with the appropriate acid. |
