titleOfInvention New sulphonyl urea derivatives
abstract Novel sulphonyl ureas of the formula <FORM:1057978/C2/1> wherein n is 1, 2 or 3, R1 is hydrogen or a halogen up to atomic number 35, e.g. F or Cl, and R2 is hydrogen or a C1- 4 alkyl group, are made by reacting the appropriate phenyl isocyanate with the corresponding 2-oxo-piperidine, hexahydroazepine or octahydro-azocine. The products may be converted into their salts with inorganic or organic bases, e.g. alkali or alkaline earth hydroxides, carbonates or bicarbonates, triethanolamine, chloine or N1,N1-dimethyl- or N1-phenylethyl-biguanide. Pharmaceutical preparations for treatment of diabetes, comprise the above sulphonyl ureas and a carrier, preferably in a form adapted to oral administration.
