The invention relates to reaction products of chitosan and de-N-acetylated chondroitin with benzylpenicillin or benzylpenicillenic acid, the polyaminosugar and benzylpenicillin or benzyl-penicillenic acid being bound through an amide linkage. The polyaminosugar and benzyl-penicillin or benzylpenicillenic acid are reacted in an aqueous medium, preferably at 35 to 40 DEG C. The compounds are used to test for penicillin sensitivity in humans. |
