The invention comprises compounds of formula <FORM:1031744/C2/1> wherein R1 is a halogen atom or a C1- 3 alkyl, C1- 3 alkoxy or C1- 3 alkylthio group, and their preparation by cyclization of a compound of formula <FORM:1031744/C2/2> by heating with polyphosphoric acid at 100 DEG to 200 DEG C., or by treatment with a halogenating agent and heating the resulting acid chloride with AlCl3 in an organic solvent. |
