abstract Compounds of the general formulae <FORM:1022648/C2/1> <FORM:1022648/C2/2> <FORM:1022648/C2/3> and their hydrochlorides are prepared by (a) reacting the parent phenol or an alkali metal salt thereof with an appropriate aminoalkyl halide or a hydrohalide thereof, or (b) reacting a corresponding haloalkyl ether with the appropriate secondary amine, optionally followed in either case by conversion to the hydrochloride if not obtained directly. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 730,922.
