abstract A pesticidal composition active against nematodes, microbes and insects comprises as active ingredient a compound of formula:- <FORM:1017273/A5-A6/1> wherein X is oxygen or sulphur when n = 0 or x is nitrogen when n = 0 or 1, the third valency of said nitrogen atom being attached to a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group when n = 0, or forming a second link with (c)n when n = 1; R11 represents a halogen or an alkyl group; and R and R1 may be the same or different, each representing a hydrogen or halogen atom, or a hydrocarbon or alkoxy group, or R and R1 may be linked to complete with C = C group a benzene ring which may contain halogen e.g. Cl or Br, nitro, methyl, ethyl, methoxy or ethoxy substituents; and a solid carrier, a liquid carrier and a contact insecticide or a solid or liquid carrier and a surface active agent. The hydrocarbon group represented by R, R1 or the hydrocarbon group attached to the nitrogen atom X may be acyclic, alicyclic, aryl or aralkyl. Specified contact insecticides are DDT, the gamma isomer of hexachlorocyclohexane, aldrin dieldrin, endrin, Telodrin, DDVP and Diazinon. Specified forms are granules, pellets or dusts and waxy, bituminous, natural or synthetic resin formulations, aerosols, wettable powders, oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions, emulsifiable concentrates, solutions and dispersions. The compositions may be used to treat plants, cellulosic materials including paper, wood, wool or leather.
