RECOMBINANT BACULOVIRUS MARKED WITH A FLUORESCENT DNA MARKING SYSTEM AND ITS APPLICATIONS |
abstract |
The present invention relates to the field of reporter systems. More particularly, the present invention relates to a modified baculovirus expressing a reporter system for its direct fluorescence identification. The invention also relates to the quantification of a tagged baculovirus population, as well as the use of these baculoviruses as biomarkers, alone or in combination with a specific targeting system. The invention finds application in particular for the identification and direct quantification of cell populations, for the direct selection of recombinant baculoviruses during the production and direct quantification of recombinant baculoviruses as well as their stability within a viral stock. The labeled baculoviruses according to the invention can also be used as mimetics of other pathogens, in particular of class II and III, for the evaluation of disinfection protocols. |
