The invention relates to a method for preparing a powder based on oxide (s) comprising uranium and plutonium, comprising the following steps: a) a step of adding at least one monomer to a aqueous solution comprising nitrate ions and comprising uranium and plutonium; b) a step of obtaining a gel trapping said aqueous solution by polymerization of the monomer or monomers added in a); c) a step of obtaining a xerogel comprising uranium and plutonium nitrates by dehydration of the gel obtained in b); d) a step of obtaining said powder by heat treatment of the xerogel obtained in c). Use of said composition thus prepared for the manufacture of a nuclear fuel. |
