abstract |
The invention relates to a method for the operation and / or monitoring of an underground formation comprising at least one reservoir comprising water, at least one species of gas of interest and at least one atmospheric isotope of at least a rare gas being present in dissolved form in the water of the tank, the process comprising at least the following steps: (1) sampling of at least one gaseous sample is carried out at at least one water uptake of the reservoir, the catchment being on the surface and the sampling being carried out so as to avoid any contamination in the air; (2) measuring at least the concentration of at least the gas species and the concentration of at least the atmospheric isotope of the noble gas in the gas sample; (3): the concentration of the gas of interest dissolved in the reservoir water is determined by means of a model which is a function of at least the concentrations of the gas of interest and atmospheric isotope measured in the gaseous sample. |
