| abstract |
The present invention relates to tubes with a ventilated wall, the production methods used as well as the machine for their semi-continuous automatic manufacture. The main characteristics of the invention reside in a construction of the tubes from strips, one in a helix [1a] on the internal side and the others in meridians [1b] placed on the outside. The bands are linked together at their crossings. The rate of aeration of the wall and the diameter of the tube lead to calculations of the pitch of the helix and of the number of meridians depending in particular on the choice of bandwidths. For very thin wall thicknesses, less than 0.5 mm, this type of tube construction is well suited, especially with metal bands. |
