abstract | The invention is a method for identifying a material contained in a sample, the sample being subjected to irradiation with ionizing electromagnetic radiation, for example X-ray radiation. The sample is interposed between a source emitting said radiation and a spectrometric detector capable of acquiring a spectrum of the radiation transmitted by the sample. The spectrum undergoes different processing steps, so as to allow the classification of the material. These steps are successively a reduction of the dimensionality, followed by a projection according to previously defined projection vectors. The projection makes it possible to establish classification parameters, on the basis of which the classification is established. |
