Ceramic material, comprising: - a main phase comprising more than 90% by weight of alumina in corundum form, - a secondary phase having the following composition, in weight percentages on the basis of the oxides: ○ from 40 to 90% of ZrO 2, 2 to 35% of TiO 2, 2 to 20% of Y 2 O 3, less than 5% of Al 2 O 3 less than 2% of impurities, the alumina phase representing more than 70% by weight of said material and said phases main and secondary together represent more than 95% of the weight of said material.
