titleOfInvention | COMBUSTIBLE ASSEMBLY FOR FAST REACTOR AND CHARGED REACTOR HEART WITH THE SAME |
abstract | A plurality of fuel needles (17) filled with fissile material as fuel are packaged and stored in an envelope tube (12). The fuel needle (17) is filled with a plurality of fuel pellets in a stainless steel cladding tube, forms a gap at the fuel region, and constitutes a gaseous plenum region (16). A fuel assembly is formed to arrange openings (13) which include the lower end of the gaseous plenum region (16) and extend upwardly therefrom into the side walls of the jacket tube ( 12). By forming the apertures (13) so that they do not overlap with the fuel region, the upper end of the fuel region where the temperature of a fuel rod cladding tube is the highest. high can be cooled by a cooling fluid. |
