Process for the preparation of a hydrophobic acrylic polymer material for the manufacture of an ophthalmological device, which process comprises at least: a) a step of supplying a mixture of at least one aromatic acrylate monomer, an aromatic methacrylate monomer, and an alkoxyalkyl methacrylate monomer; b) a step of degassing the mixture obtained in step a); c) a step of introducing said mixture into a mold for an intraocular lens; d) a step of radical polymerization by thermal means in the presence of an initiator; e) a step of polymerization by irradiation with gamma rays. |
