COSMETIC USE OF POLYMERS OBTAINED BY LOW CONCENTRATION REVERSE EMULSION POLYMERIZATION WITH A LOW RATE OF NEUTRALIZED MONOMERS |
abstract |
The present invention relates to the use, for the manufacture of a cosmetic or dermatological composition comprising at least one aqueous phase, of a branched or crosslinked polymer obtained by polymerization of an aqueous solution of one or more monomers in inverse water emulsion in oil, at least one of the monomers used being an acrylic monomer and one or more of the monomers used being a monomer carrying at least one weak acid function, the molar percentage of monomers carrying at least one weak acid function with respect to all the monomers used being at least 30%, characterized in that: i) the polymerization is carried out with a concentration of all the monomers in aqueous solution belonging to the range from 1.3 mmol to 3.6 mmol per gram of aqueous solution, ii) during the polymerization, not more than 20% of the acid functions present on the monomers having at least one acid function are in neutralized form; the cosmetic and dermatological compositions thus obtained and their uses for the cosmetic or dermatological treatment of keratin materials. |
