abstract A hydrocarbon polymer of formula (1) comprising two terminal groups (2-oxo-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl) methyloxycarbonyl: (1) in which: R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are each H a halo, alkoxycarbonyl or alkyl; m and p are integers each of 0 to 5, m + p being 0 to 6; and n is an integer such that the number-average molecular weight Mn of the polymer is 400 to 120,000 g / mol, and its polymolecularity (PDI) is 1.5 to 3.0. Process for the preparation of this polymer by metathesis ring opening polymerization (or ROMP for Ring Opening Methathesis Polymerization), or by esterification of an unsaturated dicarboxylic polymer. Process for the preparation of polyurethanes by reaction of this polymer and a compound comprising at least one amine group, and polyurethanes thus obtained.
