titleOfInvention THERMALLY INSULATING COMPOSITION FOR ORGANIC MONOLITHIC GEL OR PYROLYSAT, USE THEREOF AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF.
abstract The invention relates to a gelled or pyrolyzed carbonaceous composition respectively forming an organic polymeric monolithic gel or its pyrolyzate in the form of a porous carbon monolith, its use, and a process for the preparation of this composition. A composition according to the invention is based on a resin derived at least in part from polyhydroxybenzene (s) R and formaldehyde (s) F, has a thermal conductivity less than or equal to 40 mW.m-1.K-1 and comprises at least one cationic water-soluble cationic polyelectrolyte P. A process for the preparation of this composition comprises: a) a polymerization in an aqueous solvent of the polyhydroxybenzene (s) and formaldehyde (s), in the presence of said at least one cationic polyelectrolyte dissolved in this solvent and a catalyst, for obtaining a solution based on the resin, b) gelation of the solution for obtaining a gel, c) drying for obtaining the monolithic polymeric gel organic, and optionally d) pyrolysis of the gel to obtain porous carbon.
