The invention relates to an absorbent solution, and a method using this solution, for removing acidic compounds contained in a gaseous effluent, comprising water and at least one nitrogen compound selected from the group of 4- (aminoethyl ) congested tertiary morpholines having the following general formula (I): with R 1, R 2, R 3 and R 4 independently chosen from a hydrogen atom and an alkyl radical containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and wherein either R 5 is a radical alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms and R6 is an alkyl radical having 3 to 5 carbon atoms with the carbon atom of R6 bonded to the nitrogen atom being tertiary or quaternary, ie R5 and R6 are alkyl radicals having 1 to 5 carbon atoms and are interconnected by a covalent bond to form a ring of 5, 6 or 7 atoms. |
