The present invention relates to a method for decreasing the growth of a Mycobacterium tuberculosis mycobacterium strain in eukaryotic cells by adding and expressing in said mycobacterium an mspA gene encoding a porin A of Mycobacterium smegmatis, as well as a strain thus transformed useful for the manufacture of a vaccine for the prevention of infection by a bacterium of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex in a host comprising said eukaryotic cells, preferably macrophages. |
