abstract | The present invention relates to a method for determining the tumor or non-tumor nature or the type of tumor and / or cancer type of a human or animal solid organ fragment of a given individual, by spectrum analysis (FIG. ) of MALDI-TOF type mass spectrometry, said type of tumor belonging to at least one class or subclass of tumors, characterized in that the following successive steps are carried out in which: 1) a first sample of a homogenous homogenous suspension of said fragment comprising a mixture of different types of non-lysed whole cells, and 2) at least one spectrum of at least one said first sample is made and said spectrum is analyzed in comparison with at least one a reference profile, said reference profile being constituted by at least one list of reference peak (s) of spectrum (s) established (s) on reference fragments being known to be tumor-type or non-tumor ale, or, in case of tumor, being known to belong to a said class or subclass of tumor or cancer, and 3) it is determined whether said tissue fragment of said first sample is a tissue fragment of tumor nature or not tumor or belongs to a said class or subclass of tumor or cancer, according to the presence or absence of said reference peaks and / or the value of the area of said reference peaks in the spectrum of said first sample. |
